I just wanted to take a minute and say a few words about the
“Film Photography Project” which can be found at http://filmphotographyproject.com/
On the web site you will find a plethora of photographic information and resources.
One of the main features of the “Film Photography Project”
is the “Film Photography Podcast” which is available for download every two
weeks and is simply one of the most informative and entertaining podcasts
around, particularly if you’re interested in photography, especially film
photography. I eagerly await every new podcast. I can’t download and listen
fast enough to see what new information and antics the FPP Bunch have come up
with to educate and amuse.
Another great resource you will find on the web site is the
“Film Photography Project Store.” Here you can find the best prices on an
amazing array of cameras, film, and accessories; many of which you can’t find
anywhere else like special hand rolled film and old fashioned flash bulbs for
vintage cameras.
My recent experience seems typical of the kind of service
you can expect from the “Film Photography Project Store.” I ordered some film
and flash bulbs on a Friday afternoon and within two hours I not only had a
confirmation of the order (received moments after the order was placed online)
but also a notice that the order had been shipped. Even though I chose the
cheapest and presumably slowest shipping method I received the order Monday, just
two days later – now that’s what I call service!
The bottom line – if you’re into photography, you should be
into the “Film Photography Project.”
You can also check them out on Facebook or Flickr. Just type
in “Film Photography Project” on either one and I will be adding a link to
their web site to my list of helpful links.
