28mm f2.8 Prime Lens (Experiment)

This one was easier to focus. Here we have the 28mm f2.8 lens set at f8 with the istDL picking a shutter speed of 1/4000 and ISO 400. I am beginning to wonder if the camera is stuck on ISO 400 when shooting with manual lenses. In retrospect it seems everything I have done with these prime manual lenses in the Pentax istDL has ended up being shot with an ISO of 400.

I will have to do further research into this function and determine if this can be adjusted. F8 is pretty much optimal for most photos but a shutter speed of 1/4000 is totally inappropriate unless there is a need to stop action so the ISO could have easily been reduced to 200 or even 100 thereby improving the detail & resolution.
