Here’s
an old photo of (most of) our family celebrating Thanksgiving many years ago. I have no
idea who took the photo or what camera was used (probably a friend using our
Pentax K-1000) but it brings back great memories just as old photos are
supposed to do.
When we look at these kinds of photos and bask in the warm glow
of our memories it really doesn’t matter what equipment was used, how
technically correct or even how good the picture was. We are suddenly, if only
for a moment, transported back to that time and place and relive a bit of the
past once more. That, after all, is the magic of photography and why so many of
us have been doing it for so many years.
