Kodak’s Future?

Here’s another shot of “Mr. Photogenic” (Gandalf) looking all serious and feline philosophical. This one was taken on Portra 400 with the 35mm Vivitar 3800 using the Pentax 135mm lens at f4 and 1/125 shutter speed.

The headlines yesterday from Kodak announced that under their bankruptcy reorganization plan they will phase out and shut down their digital photography operations where they were never really competitive anyway and concentrate on their strengths – photo printing (including digital photo printers) and film.

I really hate to see Kodak fall on hard times but this is really good news for both Kodak and those of us who love and still shoot black & white and color film. With this reorganization they have a good shot at survival and we get to continue enjoying great film products.
